Cannas are vibrant tender perennials that produce bold leaves and showy flowers in shades of red, orange, yellows and pinks. It is a useful summer bedding plant for both containers and borders, but does well in cool conservatories in summer The Canna lilys are ideally suited to the UK. Each plant produces dramatic striped and exotic dense foliage. Its spears are topped with brilliant coloured flowers from July-October. Canna’s provide an excellent focal point in summer bedding schemes. Originating from South East Asia, the Canna prefers moist well-drained soil and full sun, although partial sun is fine. The Canna is known for being extremely easy to grow. Each collection is one each of Tropicanna ( orange flowers/orange and green striped foliage), Tropicanna Gold (yellow flowers/bright green foliage) and Tropicanna Black (salmon red flowers/aubergine-black foliage). How to Grow Pot up Canna plug plants and grow them on in warm, frost free conditions until large enough to plant in their final positions. Gradually acclimatise Canna plants to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting them in borders, beds and containers. Grow Cannas in fertile, moist, well drained soil in a sheltered, sunny position
